Things to do at Top of the Rock

Top of the Rock in Branson, MO
One of the things our guests love most about visiting Branson is the opportunity to experience some of our country’s most incredible scenery up close and in person. And, one of the best ways to do this is up at Top of the Rock, where you’ll find unique outdoor activities, museums and dining – all nestled on the top of a bluff overlooking the stunning landscape.

One of the most popular outdoor activities in our area is golf. And, while there are quite a few beautiful courses to choose from, one of our favorites is the Top of the Rock Golf Course. Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris (with a little help from his friends Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and Arnold Palmer) spent eight years creating this visually stunning 9-hole Par 3 course at the top of the mountain. This one-of-a-kind golf experience features a spectacular view of Table Rock lake, rushing waterfalls, and wandering creeks – it’s been called a “true celebration of nature.”

Lost Canyon Nature Trail

Hop into an electric cart to begin what is sure to be an unforgettable adventure through the Lost Canyon Nature Trail. The 45-minute tour winds through the Top of the Rock grounds before arriving at the main event – the Lost Canyon Cave and its towering four-story waterfall. This is one of our favorite ways to experience the natural beauty of our region. Not to mention, it’s the only place we’ve ever been where you can order fruity cocktails from a drive-through stand in a cave!

Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum

Through stunning visual displays, interactive exhibits, and artifacts, the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum tells the story of our area’s fascinating history, including the story behind our unique landscape, an impressive Civil War artifacts selection and life-size prehistoric animals the kids will love!

A day filled with adventurous activities makes for a hungry family! You’ll be thrilled to discover the amazing dining options at Top of the Rock. We’d recommend stepping into the 150-year-old barn named for one of golf’s greats – Arnold Palmer. Arnie’s Barn serves up a Mexican-style menu in an absolutely stunning dining room with amazing views. If the weather is nice, consider grabbing diner and drinks at Buffalo Bar, with a cozy patio overlooking the scenic Ozarks. Looking for other dining options in Branson?
